Dr. Patricia McGinty, Ph.D
Dr. McGinty received her doctorate in psychology from the University of Kentucky in 1988. She completed a pre-doctoral internship in school psychology with the Jefferson County Public Schools and worked in the school setting until 1995. Dr. McGinty completed post-doctoral training in clinical psychology at Seven Counties Services, Inc. and worked in the clinical setting both as a clinician and the internship director (1991-2003) . She was an adjunct professor in the Spalding University Psy.D. Program until 1998.

Dr. McGinty has been in private practice since 1989, providing services to children from toddlerhood through adolescence and to adults, couples, and families. Her orientation combines a systems approach and utilizes cognitive-behavioral, EMDR, psychological assessment, interpersonal problem-solving, emotional-behavioral health, mindfulness strategies as interventions with family-school consultation, as needed, to enhance the individual's overall adjustment. Dr. McGinty has a fee-for-service practice and not an insurance-based practice.

Dr. Julie Murray, Ph.D
Dr. Julie Murray earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Louisville in 2002. She completed her predoctoral Internship at the Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Center in Dallas, Texas, and her Postdoctoral Residency at Seven Counties Services, Inc. Through the years, Dr. Murray has worked with children, adolescents, and families in an outpatient setting, providing therapy services, as well as psychological assessment to assist in diagnosing and treating various disorders and learning/developmental difficulties. Dr. Murray has a fee-for-service practice rather than an insurance-based practice.

Dr. Murray's areas of specialty include working with children, adolescents, family and adults on a variety of issues/life stressors in an outpatient setting. These include: ADHD, anxiety, depression, and general adjustment. Therapeutic modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Behavior Modification, and Mindfulness practices, found to be effective with symptom reduction and increased emotional/social health and well-being. Dr. Murray also conducts psycho-educational assessments for diagnosis and individualized student school accommodations plans.

A recent development is her collaboration with Laura Probus, MSSW, C-SSW, to develop the Girls Respecting, Empowering, Achieving Together Group (G.R.E.A.T) for girls (ages 6-14), with the focus on developing self-esteem, confidence, healthy living strategies, leadership skills and the identification of coping strategies for successful management of social stressors. The goal is to expand this program to other local elementary and middle schools.

Dr. Murray is a proud wife and mother to 3 teenagers. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, taking walks and traveling.
